About the role
In the role of Collections Business Analyst, you are an integral member of the WSG Group Data & Insights team and will play a key role in advancing WSG Data and Insight capability.
You will specifically support the Collections business with data analysis and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work with Collections business stakeholders including Sales, Operations and Customer Service to define, develop and support data and reporting requirements.
Drive automation of daily/weekly/monthly reporting for the Finance, Operations and Sales.
Deliver business performance analysis that provides actionable insights.
Manage ad-hoc queries and analysis for the business.
Support projects and identify and improve business processes and performance.
Support implementation of data governance principles to drive data integrity improvement.
Support external customer reporting requirements.
Provide data and analytical support for annual customer and supplier rate review.
Experience:
Experience in Microsoft Azure (or cloud-based data environment) including data collection, extraction, analysis, and visualisation.
Exposure to ERP systems (experience in Wastedge ideal but not essential).
Experience in an operational business such as waste or transport.
(Preferred) Skills:
Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, data visualisation techniques and database management.
Experience as Business Analyst with focus on providing insights that drive business performance.
Analytically focused and excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
Ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
Action orientated, with strong time management and organisational skills.
Emotional intelligence and a strong collaborator mindset.
Understanding of Wastedge administration and reporting.
