Management - Universities (Education & Training) Full time Manager RTO Governance Needed, Education Sector, Progressive Role, $128K Plus Super, Full Time Your new company Hays Recruitment have partnered with a well-known Tafe based in the Bendigo region that is looking to appoint an experienced Manager RTO Governance immediately in a full time position. Your new role As an experienced Manager RTO Governance, you will be responsible but not limited to the following: Lead and manage the RTO Governance team to achieve compliance objectives, providing direct supervision and support, and ensuring the successful implementation of the unit's business plan. Champion and participate in the performance and development planning and review process (iThrive) to ensure the broadening of skills and experience, and achievement of shared goals. Manage the completion of Training and Assessment Strategies (TASs) and contribute to the Program Delivery Plan (PDP) for the institute. Manage overall quality system ensuring systems and processes are aligned and compliant with relevant regulatory bodies e.g ASQA, VRQA, OTCD etc. Manage and oversee the student data in the Student Management System (SMS) and the timely upload of SMS data to relevant government authorities according to legislative, contractual and organisational requirements. Manage AVETMISS data and associated reporting requirements. Oversee the institutes management of Unique Student Identifier (USI), issuance of testamurs and statements of results including the review and update of relevant policies and procedures. Manage scope of registration and courses in transition ensuring adherence to policy frameworks. Oversee governance processes related to Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance. Establish frameworks for educational governance, managing compliance with relevant legislative requirements. Foster a culture of accountability and transparency within the organisation. Manage all aspects of compliance and reporting obligations to state and federal regulators e.g ASQA, VRQA, OTCD etc. Act as primary contact with regulators and funding bodies maintaining strong communicative and collaborative relationships. Manage all aspects of internal and external audit obligations. What you'll need to succeed Degree in business or law with a minimum of 3 years of experience in audit and/or legal compliance within a VET environment and leadership experience. Significant experience in leading compliance activities within a large RTO is essential. Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a supportive work environment. In-depth knowledge and experience in designing and innovating education compliance and reporting systems, ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory requirements. Strong ability to provide authoritative advice to educational leaders and management, ensuring clarity and consistency in compliance practices. Proficiency in managing third-party arrangements and contracts, mitigating risks associated with external partnerships while ensuring compliance. Experience in leading and managing internal and external audit processes and resulting action plans. Excellent communication skills to manage government notifications, policy amendments, and ensure effective dissemination of information within the organization.
