We connect Borrowers, looking for fast, flexible short-term loans, to Investors, seeking access to income-focused, high-return investments secured by Australian real estate, via an online private investment portal. CCG holds an AFSL and operates a mortgage fund.The Role: We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager - Finance and Operations (GM) to take charge of our financial operations and to provide leadership across all aspects of the company. This is a critical senior leadership position, responsible for driving financial performance and operations performance, ensuring compliance and delivering strategic insights that support the organisation's goals.You will report to the CEO and oversee all office management and financial processes, including forecasting, budgeting, reporting and risk management. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future by developing detailed financial plans on 1, 2 and 3-year horizons and presenting these plans to the CEO and executive team. As we scale to implement a pooled fund, you will also play an important part in leading the processes and financial documentation needed to integrate data into the system to ensure the business can manage and report on financial transactions for both investor and borrower clients.This role requires a forward-thinking professional with exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of fund management, and the ability to optimise financial systems and processes. The Finance Director will be a trusted advisor to the CEO, contributing to the business's operational and strategic direction while ensuring that financial operations remain robust, transparent, and aligned with organisational objectives. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and long-term growth. Ensure business scalability as we transition from contributory to additional fund structures i.e. pooled. Prepare and present detailed 1, 2 and 3 year financial forecasts and plans to the CEO. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, cash flow management and compliance. Oversee all compliance obligations of our AFSL License, becoming a Responsible Manager of all our AFSL funds. Oversee and be an active member of our credit committee - entails assessing and approving loan applications. Oversee and be a critical staff member, by employing the relevant staff members to support company growth. Manage the Fund Administration team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of monthly distributions, bank transactions, and other fund-related activities, including hiring relevant staff. Undertake feasibility and costings for construction projects and development loans. Lead our internal project to integrate historical financial data into our new technology platform, working closely with relevant stakeholders to meet data and reporting requirements. Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place to support efficient operations and mitigate risks. Monitor key financial metrics, identify opportunities for improvement and drive operational and financial efficiencies. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, compliance partnerships and executive leadership. Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, providing insights to guide decision-making and support business performance. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, contributing to strategic initiatives, business planning and overall organisational growth. About You: 10+ years of experience in senior finance roles, a background in forecasting, AFSL compliance, strategic planning and fund administration. Industry experience in funds management, AFSL compliance, financial services or property is highly regarded. An ability to undertake the feasibility and costings of construction projects and development loans. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present multi-year forecasts and strategic plans. Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on coaching and development. Advanced knowledge of financial modelling, compliance and regulatory frameworks. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. An ability to scale a business. Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven approach. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellence.
