Education and Care Regulation and Support is seeking to fill a temporary Contract Administration Officer position. The initial period is three months, but this may be extended or become permanent. Education and Care Regulation and Support (ECRS) is the ACT Regulatory Authority administering legislation covering approved childhood education and care services and licensed childcare services in the ACT. This position will be responsible for the administration of contracts relating to the provision of early childhood education and care services. This includes provision of initiatives under Set up for Success, an Early Childhood Strategy for the ACT. We are seeking a highly motivated contract officer to work collaboratively within a team environment. The contract officer will play a critical role in procurement, on-boarding new suppliers, processing payments and performance auditing and monitoring against contractual requirements. The successful applicant will undertake a variety of responsibilities such as requesting and analysing performance data and preparation of reports. They will often be the first point of contact for suppliers. The successful applicant will possess well developed oral and written communication skills and have a proven ability to work within a busy work environment that has competing demands. Eligibility/Other requirements: Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of ACT Government procurement framework. Ability to review and report on supplier performance against contractual requirements. Demonstrated high attention to detail and ability to comply with workplace standards and processes. Proven capability to work as part of a team, to use own initiative and to work independently when necessary. Proven proficiency with Microsoft office products Demonstrated high level of oral and written communication. Highly Desirable: Qualifications in contract or project management. Experience in the use of ACT Government record management system- Trim /HPE Content Manager Experience in the use of ACT Government financial systems e.g. TM1 or similar applications Current drivers’ licence (to drive fleet cars when required) Current registration/or ability to be registered under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
