About this position We require the services of an energetic individual to help us to drive behavioural change on our roads. The Enforcement Trailer Operator (ETO) is responsible for the safe movement and deployment of our Enforcement Trailers according to the schedule agreed with our customer. The successful applicant will be provided with a work vehicle to tow the trailers or can elect to use their own suitable vehicle (less than 5 years old) and claim the kilometres. This is a casual position with approximately three days work per week and includes a significant amount of regional driving per week, working near moving traffic and in all weather conditions. Some key responsibilities include: The proximity of Transportable Road Safety Camera Trailers to traffic requires ETO’s to be safety conscious and follow the training and processes provided. Safely and carefully tow a 2,000kg trailer which contains mechanical, electrical, computer, camera and communications equipment to the required location. A high level of care is required in transportation to avoid unnecessary wear & tear. Provide cleaning, minor maintenance and identify the need for the trailer to have workshop servicing. Knowledge/Key Attributes General mechanical awareness in order to safely tow a 2,000kg trailer and provide cleaning, minor maintenance or identify the need for workshop servicing. Ability to operate within a flexible and ever-changing work environment Ability to use electronic applications on various electronic devices. Ability to conduct risk assessments, manage risk and make decisions regarding the safety of themselves, the community and the equipment Enthusiasm, energy and a positive approach towards their work Experience supervising or leading teams will be favourable as we look to grow our team of ETO’s in QLD whilst supporting their welfare and wellbeing in remote environments.
