They design digital learning materials, collaborate with academics to ensure access to essential resources, and assist researchers with advanced searching, scholarly publishing, and researcher profile management.Southern Cross University’s is seeking a Librarian, Library Education and Research in Library Services. As a Librarian, you will support staff, students, and researchers with advanced searching, scholarly publishing, and researcher profile management. Your core responsibilities will include:Collaborate with academic and professional staff to create, deliver, and evaluate interactive resources that enhance digital and information literacy skills.Provide expert assistance to clients with complex information needs, advising on strategies for adopting and adapting open education resources and engaging in impactful research discovery and dissemination.Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance teaching, learning, research success, and scholarly communication within the University.Contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative digital services, collections and technologies to support the University’s teaching, learning, and research initiatives.Represent the Library at faculty forums, contribute to professional networks, and participate in activities that promote ongoing professional growth.About youYou will be a dynamic individual ready to support student learning and academics in a range of activities including teaching, learning and research services, designing and developing digital learning resources and experience, and enabling access to collections. More specifically, you will have:A relevant tertiary qualification and experience in a university or research library environment, or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.Demonstrated knowledge of scholarly communication, publishing trends, pedagogy, learning design, and trends in library and information services.Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage, collaborate, and build relationships with library stakeholders and teams.Experience in developing and delivering information, digital, and research skills programs, with advanced digital literacy and proficiency in electronic resources and systems.Salary and benefitsOur staff benefit from flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work models, generous parental and carer’s leave provisions, wellbeing initiatives, employee assistance programs and professional learning opportunities. This position is:Part-time (60%), fixed term contract (until 21/1/26).Located at either Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450, Gold Coast, QLD 4225, or Lismore, NSW 2480.HEW Level 6. The base salary ranges from $92,716 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation.
