Women's and Children's Health Network, Surgical Services – Paediatric Outpatient Department, North Adelaide (5006)SalaryClassification – RN/M5.1 – Registered Nursing/Midwifery LV 5.1 – $139,868 to $139,868Full time – Term Contract (12-month contract)About The Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Services team as a Nursing Director where you will be responsible for:Leading strategic and operational direction for the Paediatric Outpatient Department, ensuring efficient, person- and family-centered care.Evaluating service models and implementing improvements through clinical and consumer engagement.Collaborating with divisional and medical leaders to manage outpatient services, including referral triaging.Managing nursing and administration staff and providing leadership to Nurse Consultants and Nurse Practitioners.Developing care models to enable nursing staff to work to their full scope of practice, including nurse-led clinics.Ensuring governance, practice standards, and continuous improvement in nursing and inter-professional practices.Promoting a healthy work environment and fostering a culture of learning and quality care.About You To be successful in this role, you will have:Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years post registration experience.Experience as a leader or manager in the health care industry.Experience in managing and leading complex projects.Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.Demonstrated ability to evaluate and review services, develop, and implement new models of care.Experience in managing large numbers of staff from various multidisciplinary backgrounds.What WCHN Can Offer You Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia.)Free public transport for SA Health Metropolitan Hospital workers to and from the Women's and Children's Hospital.Access to generous leave provisions and professional development opportunities.Support for you and your family via our Employee Assistance Program.About Us The Women's & Children's Health Network is the state's leading provider of best practice health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.
