Permanent Full-time Sydney, hybrid working Fantastic opportunity to grow your risk career in finance Finance BCM provides functional risk management services to Group CFO, Group CFO Office, Customer and Corporate Services (CCS) CFO, and Finance Division GMs. How will I help? As a Risk Analyst in the Finance BCM team, you will be r esponsible for applying tools, controls, and processes to monitor risk as well as supporting the consistent implementation and embedment of risk management across the Finance Division and CCS CFO team. Reporting into the Head of Finance BCM, you will also support risk management, financial reporting, tax, compliance, and prudential processes in accordance with Westpac Frameworks, Policies and Standards. Further key responsibilities include: Completion of control self-assessments Preparation of key risk reporting for Finance BCM Supporting Finance Risk Committee preparation Raising awareness and supporting the strengthening of a proactive risk culture Builds an understanding of the possible causes of incidents by research and analysis Develops understanding of risk to business outcomes Develops an understanding of business accountabilities in managing business assets via application of effective monitoring and control mechanisms Assists in the review of controls and monitoring programs Checks documentation & data as directed Applies monitoring tools, controls and processes to monitor the business Collects data using appropriate systems and presents it for analysis What’s in it for me? To be successful in this role you must have foundational risk controls experience, with business acumen in Finance and have demonstratable experience in maintaining compliance. You are also a customer focussed individual with the ability to work effectively in teams. Other advantageous attributes include: Experience in Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA’s), controls testing, and controls advisory Risk identification and response Risk monitoring and reporting Data collection, leveraging, and the ability to analyse data Strong skills in communication, problem solving, systems thinking, adaptability, and ethical decision making What’s it like to work there?
