Our products and services often involve multi-disciplinary technical teams of mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, software, network engineers, integrated product support and subcontractors and are generally defence related.You will be responsible for:Influencing, shaping, and growing the product development and engineering capability.Supporting product development and project delivery covering the entire product life cycle, from concept to disposal, including developing the required engineering documentation, managing the design, development, manufacturing, and testing processes needed to deliver our products and services successfully.Design, build, and support products following a disciplined approach to Systems Engineering based on industry best practices, ISO/IEEE standards and internal company policies, plans and procedures.Be responsible for technical scope within projects, including reporting on technical progress and performance.Manage requirements traceability from concepts through to testing.Be the primary point of contact for technical matters when communicating with customers and suppliers.Provide technical advice to Hammerstone leadership on technical compliance issues and regulatory requirements (e.g. Regulatory Compliance Marks).Provide technical contributions to bids, tenders and proposals and other business development activities.Write, review, and approve technical documentation.Qualifications, skills, and experience:To be the successful candidate you will ideally have:A bachelor's degree in engineering: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Aeronautical, or similar (essential).More than 15 years of practical engineering experience in product design and deliveryYou have had leadership roles in engineering teamsYou have experience in manufacture/assembly/build of productsA "hands-on" approach to designing, building, testing, delivery, and support of technical solutions.
