Bring your current industry experience and knowledge in Animal Care/Veterinary Nursing and join our vibrant team of Teachers at North Wagga Wagga TAFE Campus. This role is on a temporary part time basis for 12 months.

About You
We are looking for passionate and engaged individuals who have current industry expertise in delivering quality animal care services. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to keeping pace with rapidly emerging industry trends and a passion to transport their industry knowledge and expertise into the classroom to teach the next generation of animal care specialists.
You will have:
1. Certificate III in Animal Care (minimum) AND/OR Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing / Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
2. TAE40116 (or equivalent) and a commitment to maintaining competency.
3. Minimum three years post-qualification experience in the Animal Care / Veterinary Nursing industry, gained no longer than five years ago.
4. Commitment to maintaining and developing technical currency + VET knowledge and skills.

Targeted Question 1:
The role of the TAFE teacher as a professional educator is to help construct, guide and enhance the educative process. Please provide a recent example where you have been required to use different teaching strategies that have encouraged active participation, supported inclusiveness and promoted optimum learning for all students.
Targeted Question 2:
TAFE teachers must be able to adapt and respond to new challenges both inside and out of the classroom. Can you describe a conflict situation, such as responding and following up with students who have been disrupting class (such as arguing, using threatening language or being culturally offensive)?
For temporary positions, you will require a visa that gives you permission to work in Australia.
An eligibility list, valid for 18 months, may be created for this position, and position(s) of the same classification that subsequently becomes vacant, may be filled via this recruitment.
