So, it's easy to get behind a mission that seeks to improve the healthcare experience for all Australians.The GigWe're searching for a Financial Accountant to join our team on a 6 month maximum term contract with the possibility of extension, supporting our Finance Manager and CFO with day-to-day accounting tasks, including month-end reconciliation and assistance with preparing monthly and year end financial statements. Collaborate closely with our finance team on ad-hoc analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making in our growing business, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements during external audits.Responsibilities:Oversee month-end and year-end close process including balance sheet, profit & loss reconciliations and consolidation workingsPrepare weekly cash flow reports and forecastsReview accounts payable payments and employee calculations including payroll accrualsManage fixed asset register, R&D timesheet records, and provide finance team training and backup supportAssist with monthly and annual financial reporting requirements, tax return workings, and BAS returnsAssist senior leaders with financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc finance tasksSupport external auditors and evaluate financial processes and systems.About YouYou're the kind of person who takes accountability in a fast-paced, autonomous and flexible environment. And ultimately, you care: about people, health and innovation.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related fieldCA or CPA qualified, or almost at completionExperience in financial accounting or related roles (e.g., audit). In particular, demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis and compliance with accounting standardsProficiency in accounting software systems and strong Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with extracting and manipulating data stored in relational databases (for example, through the use of SQL) will be viewed favourablyDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysisExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsAdditional InformationThe perks behind the workHealthengine is where you'll be your best self.
