This is an exciting opportunity to join a deep-tech company that will make a huge impact in humanitarian demining for global good.
We are seeking an MR Physicist to join our client's small team based in Sydney. You will be required to become a subject matter expert in the MR methods and be involved in supporting the Australian and overseas trials of the systems in collaboration with the company's partners. You may also contribute to the redesign of existing systems for improved product outcomes.
Applicants will require a PhD (or equivalent experience) and preferably some further experience, either in physics, or other physical sciences, or an engineering discipline with a substantial physics component. A background in experimental sciences and radio physics is strongly desired as the role will involve working with complex radiofrequency methods. The successful applicant will take independent responsibility for some key aspects of the development programs under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer.
Your duties will include:
* Appropriating existing experimental methods, and creating new ones.
* Using skills in radiofrequency measurement and analysis.
* Using your deep knowledge of solid-state and experimental physics
* Managing projects with the company; 's clients and partners.
* Engaging in the consideration of designs for manufacturing.
* Evaluating products in field situations, both in Australia and overseas.
* Communicating openly, effectively, and respectfully with all staff, clients, and suppliers.
* Working collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary and regional teams.
