: The National Arboretum Canberra has a fantastic opportunity for a customer service focused, collaborative and detail-oriented person to undertake the role of Visitor Services Coordinator.
Working in a busy environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of best practice customer service and managing the rostering, training, general administration and supervision of Visitor Services Officers and Program Officers onsite at the beautiful National Arboretum Canberra.
The Visitor Services Coordinator manages and assists casual and part time officers to deliver excellent experiences for the public, including operating the Welcome Desk; providing customer services including bookings, promotional information and assisting with first aid, enquiries and incident responses; delivering bus tours in collaboration with volunteers; and facilitating birthday parties, kite making, orienteering, playgroups and other public programs.
This 4 days per week, part time position reports directly to the Community Engagement Officer and works closely with the Education Officers in a small and supportive team.

1. Current C Class Driver's licence
2. Current First Aid Certificate
3. Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP): Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -
4. A public vehicle drivers’ licence or ‘O licence’
5. This position may require a pre-employment medical.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is part-time at (29:24) hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
