About the Communications Advisor role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Communications Advisor to join our Corporate Services team. As a Communications Advisor, you will communicate organisational objectives to internal and external audiences to enable a cohesive and engaged organisational culture and achievement of business priority projects. You will work with other teams to deliver on our customer service goals, both internally and externally. You will provide advice, guidance and direction about communications best practice to colleagues at all levels across the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will be a strong collaborator, able to communicate with all levels of business, a passionate storyteller, and have experience in internal communications. This is a parental leave contract role to 15 August 2025, based at our Redfern office with hybrid work arrangements and requires travel to other SGCH office locations as required including Liverpool.
About you (essential requirements)
To succeed in the role, you will have the below key attributes:
o Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent skills and/or relevant industry experience
o Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills and attention to detail
o Experience writing media releases, opinion pieces, media responses, speaker notes, social media, and EDM content
o Project management skills with the ability to create and manage a communications schedule, prioritise work and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
o Ability to use analytical and problem-solving skills to assess the impacts of changes and plan effective communications activities to ensure successful outcomes
o Experience measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of communication activities with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement
o Excellent stakeholder management skills, confident to liaise with and influence customer-focused outcomes
o Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
