About the opportunity
As the Aboriginal Wellbeing Support Worker, you will provide recovery-oriented, evidence-based support interventions to our Aboriginal clients.
Your initial focus will be on resolving the immediate needs of clients to stabilise social and emotional well-being, substance abuse, legal issues and finances. You will then engage and develop trusting and professional relationships with clients to support them in reaching their goals focused on healing, recovery and social inclusion.
You will be able to grow your skills and experience and be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team in our Mental Health & Wellbeing Service, located in a brand-new purpose-built facility in Hazelwood Road.
About the program
Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Service provides a ‘no wrong door’ approach to connect community members to the right support. It is designed to provide a holistic approach to care and a multidisciplinary team model with a strong focus on lived experience and high engagement.
Neami is the key provider of this Mental Health & Wellbeing Service model, and the service is delivered in partnership with Uniting and Drummond Street Services.
