We are on the lookout for an outstanding individual to join our Work Health Safety team as a WHS and Injury Management Consultant.PEER is a not-for-profit industry-based organisation, a Group Training Organisation (GTO) and National award-winning Registered Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally accredited training packages to meet South Australia's skill development needs.The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced WHS / IM consultant who can manage the injury management and return to work process for apprentices and corporate staff whilst supporting the team with the implementation of the WHS framework and systems.Reporting to the WHS Manager, key responsibilities include:Manage both work-related and non-work-related injuries from start to finish, fostering early intervention and effective case management for smooth return-to-work outcomes.Manage the injury management claims process for work-related injuries.Establish key relationships with EML, medical practitioners, and preferred providers.Assist in implementing WHS initiatives, policies, procedures, and strategies.Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.Provide operational WHS support and advice.Support the audit review process.Assist in the investigation of any injuries, incidents, and near misses with recommended corrective actions.Support the development of training needs analysis, recommendations, and training plan, including the delivery of WHS induction.Prepare and maintain accurate WHS records, reports, and documentation.About You:PEER values its people and fosters a workplace culture centered on collaboration, innovation, and safety.
We are seeking an experienced WHS / IM who is passionate about leading impactful safety initiatives in the construction and defense industries.
