Aboutthe Department for Correctional Services
The Departmentemploys approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nineprisons and sixteen Community Correctional offices across thestate. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the publicand reducing re-offending. We work towards this through thecontribution of staff who are employed in a wide variety of fields,from correctional officers and teachers, to social workers,psychologists and supervisors of court orders. Duties
TheOffice Administrator is responsible for the provision of keyadministrative support duties within the Community CorrectionalCentre, which facilitates the effective delivery of services tooffenders, assigned to the Department, and itsstakeholders.
SpecialConditions
Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and otherapplicable industrial entitlements.
The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a NationalCriminal History Check;
A current SouthAustralian Driver’s Licence is essential;
A flexibleapproach to working hours is required;
Some interstateand intrastate travel will be required which may necessitateovernight absences
The incumbentwill be required to work between the hours of 8.45 am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday, unless otherwise negotiated
Movement betweenoffice localities will be necessary for development, careeradvancement and/or departmental requirements
