Your role in the team
You'll be a part of the Product team within the APAC & ME division, covering our clients in Australia, Japan, Singapore, and the UAE. You'll be working with an international team of specialists both remotely and from within our modern office in an atmosphere that's more techpany than financial services.
You'll be embedded within a team of Product, CX, Delivery and Design experts responsible for setting the product and delivery strategy for the division and working closely with technology teams to help deliver market leading investment and leverage trading products for our clients.
You'll also be helping to contribute to a culture of experimentation and iterative development at IG, helping us to enable us to deliver products that meet our clients' needs, and to quickly test, iterate and develop solutions that deliver innovation and help to continuously improve our existing offering.
What you'll do
User Researchers are key figures in the teams that help ideate, design, and deliver our products. They help develop a deep understanding of our customers - who use our products and services. Their findings allow their team to design and build better products more quickly and at lower cost and risk. And to continuously improve products, based on data and evidence.
As a UX Researcher, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team on a range of user research and strategic projects. You will work closely with our divisional Product team, APAC & MEmercial stakeholders and other client insights and data focused members of the division to help you produce your best work and to develop your skills.
As a UX Researcher you will:
1. Report into the Divisional CX Manager and work with the divisional product team to plan, design, and conduct research with users to provide robust evidence for making decisions and to support the continuous improvement of our products.
2. Help colleagues define and articulate research goals and user-centric measures of success.
3. Carry out qualitative user research activities as your primary activity from recruiting participants, preparing discussion guides, moderating research sessions, and delivering actionable findings.
4. Carry out quantitative user research as a secondary activity, from preparing and managing client surveys to supporting CX and tech teams with iterative test and learn activities with live clients (, A/B testing, Beta testing)
5. Work with the Divisional CX Manager to monitor continuous client feedback and CX andmercial performance metrics to help identify key client pain points andmercial opportunities.
6. Support the divisional product and tech teams in turning research findings into actions.
7. Champion our clients, and their needs, within the divisional product and techmunity
8. Lead rather than help colleagues define and articulate research goals
9. Take as much insight as possible from client-facing teams

What you'll need for this role
Essential:
10. At least 3+ years of experience as a UX researcher in software development
11. Are confident and experienced using a range of qualitative user research methods to reveal actionable insights.
12. Have experience owning the usability testing process, from participant recruitment and session facilitation to analysing, documenting, andmunicating the resulting insights.
13. Have some experience of quantitative user research methods, when to use those methods and how to apply them correctly.
14. Recognise assumptions (including your own) and seek ways to try and invalidate them.
15. Are an open, confident, and consideredmunicator and collaborator, able to present clear findings that colleagues can understand and use.
16. Employ excellent analytical, and critical thinking skills in your work.
17. Fluency in written and spoken English.
Desirable:
18. Have experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary digital product team.
19. Have some experience and understanding of user-centred design and delivery practices.
20. Proficiency with collaborative design, prototyping and brainstorming tools ( Figma, Miro, Airtable)
21. Proficiency with survey management and design tools (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey)
22. Experience knowledge, or interest in the financial world.
23. Fluency in spoken Mandarin Chinese, and written Simplified Chinese
