Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) is part of the Westpac Institutional Bank and focuses on understanding our clients and their industry to provide our customers with banking solutions that meet their business needs. Our Chief Operating Office (COO) team focuses on executing strategic projects and advocating for the business on operational & technology initiatives, coordinating operating rhythms, driving best practice processes, providing market leading fulfilment to improve the customer and banker experience as well as, providing support to the CIB Managing Director. Within our COO team we have a function for Insights and Governance, which is where this role resides. Working in a customer focused environment, the candidate will be a self-motivated and results orientated individual, responsible for the efficient delivery of CIB reporting. The candidate will work across the CIB business to get exposure to senior management as well as, strategies, projects or matters which have a broader impact and overall holistic view of Westpac Institutional Bank and the Westpac Group. You will also: Extract data and generate management insights on all aspects of the CIB business (i.e. customer pipeline, credit risk, regulatory reporting, etc.) to support the CIB Managing Director and CIB Executive leadership team in decision making Assist in the preparation of presentation packs for CIB Managing Director and the CIB COO for various forums Support teams within the business to generate analysis, insights and reports by customer, industry, geography and / or product to assist our industry and product teams in decision-making Coordinate and contribute to WIB CEO and Board level reporting (incl. review of briefing notes) Support CIB on the development and implementation of business strategies Contribute to and represent CIB on internal strategic projects Coordinate and execute various CIB initiatives and projects to address issues across the broader business (including customer remediation activities and financial year end audits) Assist in testing for system changes across key frontline systems (i.e. MyClient) Attend to various ad-hoc requests from the business and internal stakeholders What’s in it for me? Strong data analysis skills (i.e., Excel, VBA, PowerBI) and ability to adapt skills to a wide variety of projects and scenarios Experience in delivery of sales reporting, insights and recommendations 2-3 years’ experience in either Accounting or Banking Relevant tertiary qualification (i.e., Commerce, Finance, Accounting or Information Systems) is preferred Ability to pay close attention to detail A self-leader who manages to high quality and time, including a clear sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Ability to manage multiple and competing stakeholder interests Excellent planning and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral High standard of professionalism and integrity Strong commercial awareness The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player What’s it like to work there?
