The PositionIn this role, you will provide direct clinical services and optimal patient care to individuals presenting with Urological problems, including both elective and emergent Urological surgical procedures. To provide information, support, education and training in the prevention and treatment of Urological injuries. To contribute medical expertise to the development of a comprehensive range of health services, designed to minimise and prevent the incidence of Urological related Provide direct clinical services and optimal patient care to individuals presenting with Urological problems in rural facilities across Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service.Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate continuous and comprehensive service provision to clients of the service, including undertaking education and promotion activities within the community.Monitor current trends, emerging issues and development in Urological disorders & maintain a high level up-to-date working knowledge.Participate in the on-call roster for Urology Department.Demonstrated ability to facilitate changes to clinical work practices that incorporate the best available evidence and expertise and demonstrated commitment to research, service improvement and quality activities.Attend administration activities, including record keeping, data collection, medical reports and clinical summaries and undertake roles necessary to ensure that the service complies with the provisions of the Hospital and Health Boards Act and other relevant legislation.Provide assessment and treatment services for persons with urological ailments within the division and across inpatient and community settings.Awareness of, and compliance with: Queensland Health Consumer Complaints Management Policy and Standards, any local procedures relating to this policy, the Health Quality and Complaint Commission Standard, Queensland Health's Integrated Risk Management Policy, Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Anti-discrimination requirements, and ensuring any staff reporting to this position are also aware of these policies, procedures and standards.Health ServiceDarling Downs Hospital and Health Service (Darling Downs Health) provides public hospital and healthcare services to nearly 300,000 people from 28 facilities, which includes one large regional referral hospital, one extended inpatient mental health service, three medium sized regional hub hospitals, eleven rural hospitals, four multipurpose health services, one community outpatient clinics and six residential aged care facilities.The LocationToowoomba (1.5 hr drive from Brisbane)Essential CriteriaA Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with appropriate Advanced Specialist Training in Urological surgery.Registration with, or eligibility for registration with, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Specialist Urologist. Candidates that require supervision cannot be acceptedMust hold a Radiation Use Licence, issued by Radiation Health in Queensland.The PackageYou will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $448,311 (L27) comprising salary rates between $97.84 (L18) and $124.05 p.h.
