About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Transport Modeller to support our Transport Planning and Advisory business in Brisbane. You will work as part of a dedicated and talented team on a range of projects, locally and nationally. This role will be based in our Merivale Street Office and is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to join a progressive global organisation with a great team culture.
In the role, you will bring your extensive expertise to drive the development of transportation solutions focused on data collection, preparation and analysis and transport modelling. You will be proficient in various analytics and modelling tools and have experience in managing and delivering projects. Relevant experience in Aimsun, VISSIM and SIDRA will be advantageous.
Day to day tasks would involve:
* Support major travel demand modelling, multi-modal transport studies, network and corridor strategies from project inception, model development, option testing through to concept and detailed design stages.
* Assist in the development, calibration and application of transport models used in the assessment of infrastructure design solutions, transport policy options and economic appraisals.
* Micro, Meso and Macro modelling to support multi-modal transport projects and corridor plans.
* Reporting and presenting traffic modelling findings with experience in visualisation software such as Tableau, PowerBi.
* Work with the transport modelling team to identify innovative solutions to our projects using Big Data and Scripting with experience in cloud platforms
To be successful for this role you'll need:
* 5 to 10 years’ experience within a consulting environment or transport modelling related role with exposure to projects of all sizes
* Competence using Aimsun and/or Vissim software (essential) and other traffic modelling software (strategic modelling, SIDRA, pedestrian simulation etc.)
* Strong knowledge of standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation to deliver innovative and practical traffic and transport solutions.
* Ability to solve complex technical, strategic and abstract problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients and establish strong working relationships
* Executing projects within time and budget within quality expectations
* Passion for training & technical development of team members around you
