About the Role
Join a team that has handled some of the most high-profile cyber incidents in Australia, working with clients across a range of industries.
We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team in Sydney to work as part of our support team in supporting our three Cyber and Technology Risk Partners providing high quality legal support, ensuring the smooth running of the Cyber practice.
In addition to providing general legal administrative support to the team, the role is focused on ensuring the efficient operation of the Cyber team and assisting with marketing & business development activities.
Responsibilities
* Open new matters on e-billing platforms, conduct thorough conflict checks, and create matters through the firm's practice management system.
* Track and manage reserves on matters, providing timely WIP updates to the legal team as required. Reconcile expenditures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Prepare and assemble enclosures for court-related pleadings and barrister brief materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
* Write reports on matter progress and other relevant metrics as needed.
* Provide essential administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling general office tasks.
* Assist with client communication, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and providing general information.
* Collaborate effectively with the legal team to provide efficient and timely administrative support.
* Collaborate with our marketing team to assist with coordinating and manage legal events.
About You
* administrative experience in a legal setting, including some experience in a litigation team.
* Knowledge and/or interest in cyber and data security will be an advantage.
* Pro-active personality, ability to take initiative and solve problems without prompting.
* Experience using programs such as Aderant and WorkSite is desirable.
* Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
