Job Title: Infrastructure and Project Risk Advisory – Senior Consultant / Manager

Our Projects and Commercial Advisory capability combines commercial, risk, and legal expertise to support transformational infrastructure investments. We deliver strategic projects and commercial advice, enabling the planning, delivery, and operation of major infrastructure projects and programs across various portfolios, including energy, transport, housing, health, education, and others.
We work with government and non-government clients, partnering with Ashurst's Projects & Energy Transition, Real Estate & Property legal teams to provide a unique approach to advising on complex strategic commercial issues throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.
We are seeking a Specialist (equivalent to a Consultant / Senior Consultant / Manager in Big 4 consulting) with project risk experience in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
The Specialist will be an integral member of a team delivering core project risk and compliance solutions to clients delivering major infrastructure, defence, utilities, and transport projects. This includes supporting and advising clients on developing and implementing risk frameworks, assessing risk programs, testing and uplifting controls, and designing and implementing compliance programs.
You will work closely with our adjacent legal services teams and broader Risk Advisory and Ashurst Advance practices to deliver high-quality services to clients extracting maximum value from contracting arrangements. You will also support business development activities, including tendering, to build the profile of the firm and yourself.
About You:
* 3-5 years' experience ideally in a client-facing role within a well-respected consulting firm.
* Candidates with a minimum of 4 years' experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit, preferably with listed companies, will also be considered.
* Experience in the infrastructure, projects, or property industry is essential.
You're a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring proactivity, adaptability, and humility. Proven experience delivering high-quality work for clients and stakeholders is essential. You're confident in autonomously finding solutions to problems related to risk management in a commercial and client-focused way. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail are required. Experience writing business documents, including reports, letters, and proposals, is necessary. You have experience providing high-quality service to clients and fostering professional and commercial relationships with stakeholders.
