What will you be doing?
An apprenticeship in Wall and Ceiling Lining equips you with the skills and knowledge to apply and fix linings for non-structural walls and ceilings.
Our Host employer is a SA based business delivering a diverse range of commercial projects including Hotels, Schools and Office Fit outs.
You will undertake a variety of tasks, including;
* Use hand and power tools to fix plasterboard, suspended ceilings, and composite wall linings
* Mix and apply coats of plaster to walls and ceilings to ensure a smooth or decorative finish
* Comply with local building codes and work health and safety regulations
* Use your maths skills to take measurements, calculate areas and quantities.

Does this sound like you?
You may have already commenced your apprenticeship, undertaken Doorways to Construction at school or some work experience in the Construction Industry. Ideally you will also have;
* The desire to work in the construction industry
* Your white card, a focus on health and safety and the ability to maintain a safe work environment
* A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Experience as a team player through employment or team sports
* A positive attitude to new challenges
* Above average physical fitness
* Great communication skills and openness to work alongside other trades and apprentices
* Pride in your work, and a willingness to learn.
