Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel you will be responsible for leading the administrative and business functions of the Legal Branch, including paralegal services.
The successful person You will have demonstrated:
Experience in effectively managing and prioritising an executive administration team (or similarly high-level team), functions and associated activities including the ability to initiate, determine and manage work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines.High-level problem solving and management skills in resolving challenges and implementing improved work practices.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated capacity to liaise with all levels of staff and with a range of stakeholders in a sensitive and confidential manner.Proven ability to utilise a high degree of initiative, decision making skills and negotiation skills.Reliability in operating independently, with minimal guidance and direction.Previous experience leading and developing a positive culture within the team which encourages and recognises high performance, builds capabilities and supports staff to maximise their potential, health and wellbeing.About us Queensland Health (the Department) is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direction of the public health system in Queensland.

The Department's Legal Branch is responsible for providing legal services to the Minister for Health, Mental Health and Ambulance Services and Minister for Women, the office of Director-General and Deputy Directors-General and other Departmental offices and business units.
