About the Team and Role We are looking for a motivated and dynamic person to come and join our team. Our team consists of a multidisciplinary team of 21 members consisting of the Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior and Junior Occupational Therapists and other ancillary staff. The Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy) works under the general direction from the relevant Department Manager/s with respect to policy and procedural matters and under the general supervision from allied health professional staff and therapists with respect to day to day duties. You will be required to work across both the North West Regional Hospital and the Mersey Community Hospital in North West Tasmania; as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team of 21 members consisting of the Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior and Junior Occupational Therapists and other ancillary staff. The North West Regional Hospital, Burnie is a 160-bed facility providing general medicine, surgical (including orthopaedic), intensive care, cancer services, paediatric services, outpatient clinics and specialist services. The Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe has 95 beds offers general and specialist health services including elective surgery, 24-hour emergency department, general medicine day surgery and endoscopy, rehabilitation, palliative care and oncology services along with a variety of specialist clinics. Details of Appointment Fixed term, part time, day worker position working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing from October 2024 until October 2025. *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies. Salary: $65,236 - $68.925 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
