Job Description
Our mission is to empower our clients by helping them navigate government and insurance schemes, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), to access support more efficiently.
With a highly skilled team, we offer a wide range of services, such as Accommodation Services, Community Nursing, NDIS Support Coordination, NDIS Plan Management, Social and Community Participation, and Veteran's Home Care.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting regular inspections of company properties to identify maintenance needs.
* Identifying and listing all tangible and intangible assets owned by the organization, including property, equipment, vehicles, IT assets, and intellectual property.
* Finding, negotiating with, and managing contracts such as handyman services, gardeners, electricians, plumbers, etc., to ensure participant safety.
* Maintaining a detailed inventory of essential items required for daily operations, including PPE, cleaning supplies, groceries, toiletries, etc.
* Managing major work projects within approved timeframes and budgets.
* Managing vehicle insurance policies and handling insurance claims efficiently in case of accidents or damages.
* Liaising with property managers, contractors, brokers, attorneys, etc., for necessary contracts before property transactions or major works.
* Developing, modifying, and updating the Property Asset Management Framework as required.
* Performing routine maintenance tasks such as repairing fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
* Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and reporting any issues to the appropriate channels.
* Assisting with general office facilities management as required.
Requirements
* Current NT unrestricted driver's license.
* Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
* Valid OCHRE card.
* Current National Police Check or must have the ability to obtain one.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experienced handyman preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to property maintenance.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
* Basic computer skills for logging maintenance tasks and generating reports.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
