This is an exceptional opportunity for a risk management professional to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of sophisticated risk frameworks in a globally recognised organisation.About the RoleAs Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Chief Risk Officer in executing risk management initiatives that ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
You will work closely with senior leadership to develop risk strategies, oversee regulatory developments, and foster a strong risk-aware culture within the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Secretariat for the Branch Risk and Compliance Committee, managing agendas, distributing papers, and recording minutes.Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.Lead the design and implementation of key risk indicators and dashboards to monitor the organisation's risk profile.Oversee regulatory developments impacting risk management, providing insights and strategic recommendations.Conduct deep dive risk assessments, identifying key areas for mitigation and improvement.Partner with senior leadership and department heads to provide expert risk management guidance.Prepare clear, insightful risk reports for Management, the Risk Committee, and the Board.Contribute to broader enterprise risk management initiatives, supporting the adoption of new tools and methodologies.Qualifications & ExperienceA degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.Proven experience in risk management or compliance within financial services or insurance.Strong knowledge of APRA and ASIC regulations.Experience in both first-line and second-line risk management is advantageous.Ability to navigate and assess non-life insurance risks within a complex regulatory environment.Why Join?This is a chance to be part of a high-performing and forward-thinking organisation that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence in risk management.
