The Service
KU Union Children’s Centre, located on the edge of Sydney University and within walking distance from Redfern Station. KU Unionis a 50 place long day care service proud in providing a rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.
Our service is a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences – a space where children are supported to be their own, unique selves, growing and developing a sense of belonging and empowerment.
With a strong connection with Sydney University, our service has been independently assessed by the Department of Education NSW under the National Quality Standards, and are proud to be rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard.
The Role
This is an exciting permanent, Full time opportunity will see you joning the KU Union team 8 hours per day - Monday to Friday, accruing a monthly rostered day off (RDO).
We are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who values partnering with families, wants to join and help lead a passionate, capable and dedicated team. The ideal applicant will be a strong team player, flexible and can build and maintain positive relationships with children and families.

Of course, you will need:
8. Australian working rights
9. A current NSW Working with Children Check
10. An ACECQA recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree
11. Completed training in Child Protection legislation
12. Current First Aid and CPR certificates along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
13. NESA Teacher Accreditation
14. Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
15. Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
