The Role
The Human Resource Officer will provide advice and support in the coordination of human resource activities and operations. This will include managing job vacancies, including the coordination of deployment, recruitment, selection, and appointment processes.
A priority of this role is to coordinate teacher relief and leave management on a daily basis, ensuring classes are covered so an understanding of staff timetabling processes is important. You should be collaborative with executive staff on recruitment activities such as deployment, selection, and appointment process for teaching and non-teaching staff. You should also collaborate with the executive team on the development and implementation of strategic human resources solutions to workforce planning, attraction and retention, succession planning budget/establishment management. The ideal applicant will possess the ability to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation to maximise opportunities.
The successful applicant will ideally have highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to undertake effective negotiations and build positive relationships with staff at all levels. You should have highly developed organisational skills and be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
