Background The Community Grants Hub works in partnership with government and non-government organisations to embed the department's mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals and families in Australian communities.The Hub does this by administering community-based grants on behalf of the department and eight other government departments. Position Description As an APS4 Assessment, Moderation or QA Officer works as part of the core assessment team undertaking assessment/moderation/QA of grant applications against selection criteria for simple to complex grant funding rounds.An Assessment Officer should be efficient, with good communication skills, a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to follow business processes and procedures. Duties / Key Tasks Assess and/or moderate complex grant applications against selection criteria, to required standards, under general direction. Support the assessment and selection process for grant funding rounds, as required. Follow standard processes to ensure high quality work and use various IT systems to record accurate and complete data. Identify and escalate issues that may impact the assessment process. Support managing teams, including providing feedback and training, as required. Undertake other duties requested. Core Capabilities Communicates, understands and acts on constructive feedback.
