About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Warehouse Manager to support our dedicated team at our Darwin, NT branch. Reporting to the General Manager at our central headquarters, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse. Key responsibilities include warehouse duties, working with the national supply chain on replenishment of inventory, purchasing of special orders, efficiently and promptly handling inbound and outbound freight, assisting counter sales, inventory maintenance, forklift operation, and assisting the other Darwin team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead by example in adhering to Company policies, including Work Health & Safety, and report any safety needs or issues promptly.
Strategically manage depot operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, warehousing standards, and legislative requirements.
Oversee all receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations, ensuring optimal space management and stock levels.
Manage stock control, including cycle counts, replenishment, and reconciliation with NetSuite.
Handle the service and rental delivery, including equipment check-in/out and maintenance, using NetSuite and the Rental System.
Operate forklifts for incoming and outgoing stock and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
Assess market conditions to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, preparing quotations and sales orders as needed.
Maintain and grow customer relationships through face-to-face, email, and telephone interactions.
Document all meaningful sales interactions and manage customer information and reporting through CRM systems.
Contribute to team success by actively participating in safety, health, and wellbeing initiatives, and achieving sales targets.
Manage the upkeep and maintenance of depot facilities, including equipment repairs and landscaping.
About You
3+ years of Proven experience in warehouse/depot management, preferably within a related industry.
Strong understanding of warehouse management procedures, best practices, attention to detail, and KPIs.
Experience in sales and operational management with a focus on achieving results.
Excellent customer service skills with a track record of high customer satisfaction.
Strong self-leadership and staff management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team to success.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems and general computer skills.
Valid forklift license and driver’s license.
A technical background in equipment management or maintenance is advantageous.
