We focus on healthcare across the life span, including the management and reduction of chronic disease, to address the health and social inequities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities of the Fraser Coast Region.THE POSITION:As the Health Services Manager you would be responsible for the delivery of quality health care that ensures sustainability and growth in line with clear service delivery targets. This will be achieved through broader strategic management of all aspects of the Hervey Bay and Maryborough clinic’s operations. This includes coordination and integration of health care services and programs, support and manage the implementation of accreditation (AGPAL and ISO) standards, policy and protocols as per quality assurance elements, and the coordination of all administration and Medicare claims.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective screening, service & program delivery and administration practices broadly across multiple clinics within Galangoor Duwalami.Work closely with Galangoor Primary Health Care Managers to coordinate and integrate provision of services and programs across the board within funding guidelines.Provide direct specialist community and primary health care services as required.Manage systematic data reporting, track nKPIs and implement continuous quality improvement.Supervise, monitor and direct the activities and performance requirement of all clinic staff at the broader level.KEY REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of cultural protocols (local).Sound understanding and knowledge of health and social issues, and the impact on overall health and wellbeing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a strong commitment to improving health outcomes.Ability to work within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation philosophy and in conjunction with Galangoor Duwalami Model of Care.Highly developed communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively with members of the senior clinical team, executive, non-clinical team, community and the Board.Demonstrated clinic skills and experience, in particular the ability to implement and support a medical/primary health care team and effectively plan and coordinate own and team’s workload to achieve results.Demonstrated skills in Leadership and Management.Preferred Management qualification or equivalent qualification or working towards.Work to foster strong productive relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders.Act within the practice guidelines, AHPRA regulations, codes of ethics and at an appropriate level of clinical competence always.Champion Galangoor’s “We Will & I Will Statements” both internally and externally to the wider community.Mandatory Qualifications/Professional Registrations and Licences:Qualified Nurse with current unconditional registration with AHPRA Registration, or Diploma or equivalent in Business Leadership and Management.Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).Current Blue Card.Current annual CPR Certificate.Current First Aid Certificate (every three years).Criminal history checks will be undertaken on the preferred applicant(s).
