The Role
As a GP at Lincoln Medical Centre, you have the opportunity to provide services in many special interest fields, including family medicine, dermatology, Aboriginal health, mental health and chronic disease management. You are also encouraged to develop your own special areas of interest.
As an accredited teaching practice, you may have the opportunity to supervise registrars, interns and medical students.
Standard consulting hours for the clinic are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm, leaving your weekends free. Home visit appointments can be made by prior arrangement at the discretion of the GP. Lincoln Medical Centre GP's are also given the opportunity to work in the Port Lincoln Hospital Emergency Department and Admitting Wards on a on call rotating roster. This is an option for our new GP’s.
A very attractive remuneration package is available at 65% of earnings with the opportunity to become a Partner. Enticing Rural incentives also apply.

Essential Criteria
Eligible for medical registration with AHPRA
MBBS or equivalent.
Current emergency medicine experience
Able to obtain credentials as a General Practitioner in the clinical domain of GP Medicine (emergency medicine).
Vocational Registration is desirable, but not essential.
A postgraduate qualification relevant to general practice (e.g. Diploma of Child Health) is desirable, but not essential.

Port Lincoln is a delightful city of about 16,000 residents that overlooks beautiful Boston Bay on the south eastern shore of Eyre Peninsula. The City has ready access to national parks, stunning coastlines, beaches and off-shore islands. It is renowned for isolated beaches, excellent recreational fishing, great surfing and world class sailing waters.
Port Lincoln can be reached from Adelaide via a 35 minute flight or a seven hour road trip.
Port Lincoln services the rural, fishing, aquaculture and tourism industries and is the main service and retail centre for much of Eyre Peninsula.
The city has six Kindergartens, a public junior primary school, Three public primary schools, a Catholic reception to year 12 school and a Lutheran reception to year 12 school. There is a TAFE college that runs a number of certificates and diploma courses across a variety of trades and professions.
