As a Dental Assistant with Hunter New England Oral Health, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team of Dental Assistants and Dental Practitioners across various clinics within the area to ensure the delivery of quality dental care. About the role:
Within this role, you'll get to showcase your extensive experience as a dental assistant, handling a wide range of duties and managing complex dental health issues with confidence. Your excellent communication skills and ability to connect with patients are crucial, as is your knack for problem-solving and clinical reasoning. You'll be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and seamlessly collaborate within a team environment. Autonomy in your work is essential, and proficiency in computer applications for clinical tasks is a plus.
Ongoing support and a comprehensive orientation program will be provided by the Oral Health management team to ensure your success and professional development in this position.
About you:
The suitable applicant will hold Certificate III in dental assisting, or will be an unqualified but experienced Dental Assistant skilled in the provision of a high level of clinical dental assistance within prescribed standards of infection control and patient safety. You will also have a professional and compassionate attitude and well-developed oral and written communication skills that are utilised to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your competence in performing and assisting with oral health care procedures and ability work effectively and efficiently in a team setting will be the key to your success in this position.
Current NSW drivers licence Additional information: To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa. This position is full time; however, job share arrangements will be considered.
