Data Center Security Specialist, DC Security - NTE

We are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist to join our expanding Non-Traditional Environments Control Center team. The Data Center Security Specialist role may encompass oversight of contract employee deliverables and collaboration with NTE Edge Security Managers in order to devise security strategies, achieve financial targets, and to improve the overall operational security within our Data Centers. They will report to the NTE Security Ops Regional Mgr.
This position will be based in a control room environment and following a shift rotation schedule (7am - 7pm).
Key job responsibilities
Interface with and assist in mobilizing vendors involved in system repairs.
Provide access control management support to internal and external customers.
Observe and report physical security system anomalies.
Observe and report security incidents and policy breaches.
Coordinate the activities of a professional contract guard force.
Oversee individual security vendor deliverables, track service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
Foster working relationships to educate Edge/NTE stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at and analyzing data.
Verify Data Center security programs are delivered to meet defined global security standards.
Develop strategies for improving electronic surveillance and access controls.
Draft reports and prepare presentations on the status of physical security operations.
Collaborate with security managers in writing and implementing security processes and procedures.
Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions that maintain uncompromising security standards.
Minimum Requirements
1 year experience working in a professional work environment.
Experience compiling reports and analyzing data.
Experience in incident response.
Experience working in operations, physical security or equivalent environment.
