About The Role
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of trade finance? As the Associate Director, Corporate & Institutional Trade Finance, you will be at the forefront of servicing trade finance and Documentary Letter of Credit Escrow (LC Escrow) customers across Australia.
You will play a critical role in identifying and executing client domestic and international trade requirements in collaboration with Relationship Bankers. Your expertise will be essential in driving solutions across the BOQ Specialist (BOQS) and BOQ Finance (BOQF) divisions, servicing customers in the SME, Corporate, and Institutional banking segments.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for identifying working capital finance opportunities through regular client meetings, sales meetings, pipeline accountability, and account planning. You will work closely with key stakeholders across BOQS, BOQF, and the Wholesale Banking & Markets (WB&M) team to deliver structured trade finance solutions.
Your ability to build rapport with existing and prospective clients, identify appropriate trade finance and LC Escrow solutions, and drive marketing activities will be crucial to your success.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need experience in a Trade Finance role with a strong background in commercial/corporate lending, particularly working capital finance. A successful history in new client origination and existing client relationship management is essential.
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, combined with excellent communication abilities, are crucial. You should have strong computer literacy and a sound understanding of financial markets products, notably working capital finance and FX.
A solid understanding of Business, Corporate, and Institutional banking in Australia is required. Familiarity with AML & CTF obligations, KYC and KYCC obligations, and the Uniform Consumer Credit Code is essential. Up-to-date knowledge of the industry and relevant changes is a must.
You should possess a strong sense of initiative and a 'can-do' attitude. Being comfortable working with a diverse group and collaborating effectively for successful outcomes is crucial. Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet customer-imposed time constraints are also important.
