We are seeking motivated and reliable Retail Assistant with a high level of enthusiasm to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are serviced in a professional and efficient manner and that safety, stock, housekeeping, merchandising and security are maintained to a high standard to ensure operating efficiencies and maximum sales. The role on offer is on a casual basis between Monday and Friday (daytime).
You will be responsible for various activities including:
1. Approaching customers and offering assistance and product advice
2. Stock management - Unpacking stock from deliveries, movement of stock from pallets to trolleys to display on shelves (some heavy lifting up to 20kgs is required), bar coding, correct placement in store, pricing
3. Picking orders, packaging orders, arranging pick-ups and deliveries etc.
4. Cleaning shelves, merchandising and product layouts
5. Personal security and of security of Company assets and cash
6. Assisting with the stock take process
7. Preparation of quotes and input of orders
8. Attending training and team meetings
Minimum Requirements:
* Previous experience in a busy retail environment assisting customers and maintaining stock requirements/layout
* Numerical aptitude and accuracy with attention to detail
* Self-motivated and a team player with a strong work ethic
* Customer Service orientated
* Pride in showroom display and layout
* Problem solving skills and initiative
* Experience using Pronto POS software
* Knowledge of hospitality/catering industry/products
* Retail/Customer Service experience
