The Technology and Infrastructure Team is responsible for end-to-end IT service delivery across the Digital Health SA portfolio for SA Health.
About the Role
As an Archive and Reporting Technical Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing data archiving processes, creating powerful reporting systems, and ensuring the integrity of historical data at SA Health.
You will be at the forefront of transforming legacy data systems, developing efficient methods to extract data, and designing robust data transition programs.
Your work will ensure that historical data is stored securely, easily retrievable, and seamlessly integrated into new systems.
You will lead the development of reporting solutions, enabling end users to access vital historical information.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement cutting-edge data archiving strategies that prioritise long-term storage, compliance, security, performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
* Prepare data for reporting by extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data, and develop automated reporting solutions using industry-standard tools.
* Utilise SQL scripting and reporting tools to deliver actionable insights from archived legacy systems.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
* Extensive experience in data archiving strategies that balance performance with cost and security.
* Proficiency in data extraction, migration, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
* Expertise in automated reporting tools and SQL scripting to create high-quality reports.
* The ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as a member of a team.
* High-level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to articulate and present complex concepts.
* Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary industry standard architectures, including data architecture principles.
* Significant knowledge of project and change management principles.
