Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Full time About the Role
Midland Brick is seeking an experienced and dynamic Transport & Logistics Manager to provide effective relationship management and oversee the logistics operations for Clay and Masonry transport, management of transport subcontractors and owner-drivers.
You will drive the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations, enhance service quality, reduce costs, and ensure the safe and timely delivery of products.
Your role will include: Oversee logistics for clay and masonry transport, managing subcontractors and owner drivers.Plan and manage clay and masonry distribution for timely, safe customer delivery.Lead dispatch and fleet scheduling to optimize cost-efficiency.Oversee distribution network with internal and external logistics providers.Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety and regulatory standards.Analyze transport data to identify and implement improvements.Collaborate with senior management to align logistics with company goals.Resolve transportation disputes and issues with stakeholders.Prepare and manage the transport budget, tracking costs and seeking savings.Lead negotiations and manage relationships with logistics providers.Develop and coach a high-performing logistics team for succession planning.Skills and Experience: Proven experience in logistics management, transport operations, or a related field.Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of drivers and scheduling teams.Excellent knowledge of transport regulations, including compliance with Main Roads WA and Chain of Responsibility requirements.Ability to analyze metrics and implement data-driven improvements.Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and logistics partners.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive financial performance.Commitment to safety protocols and continuous improvement.What we Offer: In house training in a supportive team environmentAccess BGC's new referral programExtensive employee benefits: corporate discounts and wellbeing initiativesPermanent Position = Based in PERTHSalary sacrifice & novated lease options.Approachable Management & Inclusive team culture.Recognition for outstanding work.About the Company
