We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team at Stockland’s Sydney Head Office on Castlereagh Street for a 12-month contract opportunity.
About the Role
This is an exciting role that involves partnering with Senior Finance Managers and Development Managers to deliver project reporting and investment analysis, supporting decision-making aligned with Stockland’s growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage proactively with the Development Team to facilitate management and reporting of feasibilities, including scenario analysis and insights.
* Ensure accurate reporting of key development metrics and drivers, including Project Income, Yield, IRR, Valuation, and Contingencies.
* Challenge project assumptions to drive accurate decision-making.
* Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities, communicating recommendations to management.
* Oversee project-level budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accurate project assumptions are reflected in consolidated accounts and investor presentations.
* Contribute to project funding papers and project control group updates.
* Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Development Management Team and the wider Finance Teams.
* Promote a best-practice and continuous improvement culture by identifying opportunities to enhance business and system processes, improving efficiency, transparency, and reporting accuracy.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
* Assist with adhoc queries and activities across the development portfolio.
About You
You are CFA/CPA/CA qualified or similar, with experience in a commercially focused role. You excel in financial modelling and have a strong track record of reliability and dependability.
Your confident communication and presentation skills, combined with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, make you an asset in business partnering and collaboration.
You pay high attention to detail, manage your time effectively, and work well as part of a team.
Additionally, you have experience in project budgeting and forecasting, with a preference for experience within the property sector.
