Job DescriptionRole – Credit Manager, Business Mortgages (Business Credit) Permanent
Location: Melbourne
The Business Credit Team supports both our Westpac and St. George Group brands, with Credit Managers supporting Distribution Teams in these brands, leading the implementation of superior credit standards, credit quality and risk/reward outcomes. Key to your success will be your proven ability to decision credits within a defined service level, engage and influence through your demonstrated strong credit risk assessment and evaluation skills.
How will I help? Driving local and thus national standardisation across Sales, Credit and Operations organisations through decisioning transactions Directly working with Bankers and Lending Managers at a transactional level to increase Banker skill, promoting innovation, speed, and the elimination of waste across the end-to-end processesLiving "One Team" by leading high engagement with colleagues, supporting business plans to meet financial and customer satisfaction targetsDemonstrating expertise in specific decisioning of Consumer MortgagesWhat do I need? 3/4 years' experience originating and/or approving credit transactions.Significant banking/financial services experience across a broad range of disciplines.Working knowledge of NCP & BCOP regulations.Business capability (Problem solving, continuous improvement).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Risk Management, adaptability, strategic agility and flexibility.Strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.Ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels.Contributes to a strong risk culture through an open mind to continuous improvement and change.Sound communication and relationship building capabilities enabling an inclusive and collaborative approach in day-to-day activities.Intermediate MS Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and proficiency in Westpac internal systems would be highly desirable.What's in it for me?
