You will assist to connect industry, businesses, community, and government at all levels to create place-based solutions that leverage regional strengths and unlock sustainable growth.Your responsibilitiesSupport new industry development in the region, leading and identifying opportunities across the renewable energy, resource recovery and recycling and biofutures industry sectors.Identify capable businesses in new industries and provide them with information on departmental programs and initiatives and other opportunities to support growth, investment and supply chain development.Leverage your networks to facilitate and assist industry to connect with all levels of Government.Lead strategic projects or studies related to new industries.Support planning and delivery of economic priorities of regional communities (from Cardwell, to Croydon, to the Cape and Torres Strait), including engagement with local government.Provide briefings, submissions, reports and other documentation as required.Represent the department at meetings, committees and industry events.Develop effective relationships with industry, all levels of government, peak industry bodies and other key stakeholders, to support delivery of regional outcomes.Perform other duties as requested by the Regional Director or Manager, including duties which relate to changes in departmental or team priorities.Assist other team members and contribute to team outcomes.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/627357/25Closing Date: Thursday, 3 April 2025Occupational group: Project Management
