Hays are proud to be partnering with Statewide Independent Wholesalers, to recruit a Product Owner for their Launceston based office.Statewide Independent Wholesalers (SIW) was established in 1981 and is the largest distributor of fast-moving consumer goods in Tasmania. They operate a joint venture between Woolworths and Tasmanian Independent Retailers and provide wholesale grocery and liquor lines to over 230 customers state wide.

Your new role
As the Product Owner, your new role will be to provide technical guidance and consultation on the delivery and administration of SIW’s customised Pronto application to users across various teams in the business.You will be working with stakeholders to gather feedback and roadmap processes for improvement. Collaborating with external Pronto software designers and engineers to define and enhance features, you will take on the responsibility of executing system upgrades.Ensuring features are developed, tested and released according to User Acceptance Testing, security standards and release deadlines will be a key responsibility of this role.You will be accountable for the development of training materials, training sessions and maintaining documentation.
This role has a diverse array of business and technical functions, and would be best suited to a candidate who has a strong technical understanding, with a strategic way of thinking.
What you'll need to succeed
For this role, you will need to have a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in the product space and be a self-starter who enjoys managing stakeholder relationships.
Experience with Pronto Software is essential for this role.
The following is required to be successful in this role:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related fields
* Knowledge/use of Pronto Software Platform, including installation, configuration and troubleshooting, certification advantageous
* Understanding of the software product lifecycle
* High level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience within finance, warehousing and inventory control in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
