About the role:
1. Deliver as part of a multidisciplinary team, sound independent evidenced based Orthoptic services across single or multiple modalities within the Ophthalmology Team, to relevant stakeholders across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.
2. Provide clinical practice and operational supervision to work experience students, or those involved in observational clinical placements. As level of experience increases, provide clinical education for students and less experienced staff with support of senior clinical staff.
3. Develop professional competence and acquire the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to perform Orthoptic Services to accepted standards of professional conduct and the application of evidence based practice.
About you:
Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree qualification (or equivalent diploma prior to 1990) in Orthoptics and registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board.
Credentialing: The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and Scope of Clinical Practice for Health Professionals.

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:
4. An hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
