The Role: As an APS5 Project Support Officer, you will support key projects with moderate complexity, handling procedural, clerical, administrative, and operational tasks that contribute to the agency's objectives. The role involves regular contact with internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent communication skills. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Project Support: Assist with project planning, scheduling, reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder consultation. Risk and Issue Reporting: Provide regular updates on project risks, outputs, and exceptions to stakeholders. Coordination: Work closely with other Project Support Officers to coordinate assigned projects. Stakeholder Communication: Resolve issues by communicating effectively with stakeholders, third parties, and vendors. Project Management: Support the Project Manager with project controls, including managing risks, issues, schedules, and change control. Software Delivery Support: Contribute to scheduling, planning, and the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring effective risk and issue management. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Proven experience as a Project Support Officer or Project Manager on large-scale transformation programs. Proficiency in project management tools, especially Microsoft Project. Experience consolidating multiple project streams into a comprehensive program status report. Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence administration. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Strong written and verbal communication skills.
