Director, Head of Melbourne at Jon Michel Executive Search and Financial Services Consultant Help Drive "For Purpose" Social Housing Property Development Initiatives Develop Corporate Finance Strategy & Project Finance Tender Process Sydney Based with Flexible Working Arrangements With continued government initiatives to address Australia's social housing issues, our client has a newly created role for a Strategic Finance Manager to join the team based in Sydney.
Reporting directly to the CFO you will play a key role in developing and implementing the corporate finance strategy in alignment with the organisation's strategy and commitments to their purpose led social housing theme.
You will work closely and partner with key executives and the senior management Finance & Corporate Services team.
Key responsibilities include:
Further develop & implement corporate finance strategy & framework Manage the bid & capital raising process for tender bids working closely with financial advisors Developing unit cost & revenue pricing for tender bids & program management & negotiations Developing & managing financial models to enable strategic & operational analysis Maintaining a transaction prospects pipeline & resourcing plan Identifying the key financial & non-financial risks, recommending actions for risk mitigation Maintaining & developing key external stakeholders including advisors & government organisations The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated relevant experience in commercial & financial advisory & corporate finance Strong communication & interpersonal skills Proven experience with data modelling & financial modelling techniques; advanced excel & VBA skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial environment, meeting deadlines & detail-oriented 7+ years' experience in leading corporate finance, project finance and/or property development transactions through to financial close & transition arrangements Advanced stakeholder management, commercial acumen & financial analysis capabilities Bachelor of Business or equivalent with Accounting or Corporate Finance major Must have in-depth knowledge & application of accounting concepts, valuation & investment appraisal techniques like NPV, DCF, IRR etc The successful candidate will have significant end to end transaction experience gained within corporate advisory, M&A, project finance and/or in the real asset and development field.
