About the Opportunity
Based in Clarence Gardens, South Australia, a new rare and exciting opportunity is available for a hands-on Inventory Supervisor / Coordinator to join our team.
Reporting to the Site Manager, this position is responsible for the management of timely replenishment of raw ingredients and packaging materials for the site, including the coordination of storage and accompanying relationships, receivables, dispatching, and transfers within the site operation. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the availability of materials for all product lines in order to meet production schedules.
With leadership, proactivity, and energy, you need to make sure that customer service is delivered whilst ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are met.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
1. Purchasing materials via the MRP list in SAP and closely monitoring and responding to exception messages.
2. Maintain weekly stock levels, primarily in relation to all raw and packaging materials used on site.
3. Schedule inbound deliveries, taking into account site requirements and storage constraints.
4. Follow up on orders in a timely manner (24 hours), clearing blocked orders, price, and quantity variances.
5. Liaising with suppliers regarding on-time deliveries, product returns, credit notes, and non-compliance. Escalate any supply concerns to site management as required.
6. Ensure all receivables are matched with invoices on a daily basis, confirming completion of orders and compliance with details specified on the Purchase Order.
7. Ensure that stock levels and use-by codes are monitored closely to reduce write-offs and optimize availability to site.
8. Some project work as required.
9. Manage the forklift fleet across 3 shifts, including managing rosters.
10. Coordinate the transport cost, plastic pallets, and M3 Pallecons stock-takes and shortfall, COR and drivers induction, external warehouse cost.
11. Manage closely bottle production and stock levels to ensure constant supply to the factory and cost optimization, i.e., recommending what shifts are required in Blowmoulding to maintain stock levels, minimize transport & storage.
12. Conduct inventory control, stock balances, and reconciliation on raw and packaging materials via SAP.
13. Ensure Quality and Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
14. Note: some out of hours work may be required.
About You
1. Experience in FMCG is highly advantageous.
2. Experience working in warehousing / dry goods is desirable.
3. Supervisory experience.
4. Forklift License / hands-on approach to support the team if required.
5. Ability to work efficiently and effectively with initiative.
6. Strong decision-making and planning abilities.
7. Attention to detail and highly organized.
8. Strong and active leadership skills to guide, mentor, and support staff.
9. Strong focus on communication and customer service.
10. Proactive.
