The company: We have partnered with a studio in Adelaide that specialise in absolutely fascinating and bespoke projects.Our client is recognised as one of Adelaide's leaders in the design and construction of innovative and engaging play spaces, public art, and interactive exhibitions for public spaces.The opportunity: We are looking for someone to provide resourceful and practical solutions for mechanical and technical interactive exhibits/exhibitions.The successful applicant is someone who can bridge concepts and buildability issues in a prototype and development environment, produce drawings and communicate designs with clients.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Undertake research and development of projects considering cost, selection of materials, production methods, technologies, safety, and ergonomics.Identify any problems as they arise during the prototyping and/or manufacturing process.Prepare presentation sketches (either by hand or computer) of a high standard to demonstrate the style, size, shape, configuration of internal components (where necessary) and general appearance of exhibits.Contribute in the production of exhibits, interactives, and products to ensure goods are manufactured to meet set milestones and budget. About you: Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience using AutoCAD.You have significant experience (fabrication and production experience highly desirable) bridging concepts and buildability issues in a prototype and development environment.Experience working hands-on in all phases of development – from concept through to production.Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to a wide range of individuals and industry.Proven ability to project manage critical timeline and budgets.Commitment to and understanding of the principles of EEO and WH&S.
