The Opportunity

We are seeking a software engineer to join a newly formed team focused on building large-scale platforms to power evidence synthesis globally.

* Design and develop greenfield systems that accelerate thousands of researchers.
* Contribute to the architecture and operation of data systems.
* Refine the team's processes to increase impact.
* Be part of a small, tightly knit team that values trust and respect for one another.

Requirements:

* Experience building data-intensive systems and APIs.
* Strong knowledge of queuing systems, orchestrators, and messaging architectures.
* Pragmatic approach to building "just enough" to bring value quickly.
* Great communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills:

* Python & FastAPI with some Pydantic.
* Pandas / Polars / NumPy and friends.
* PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch as appropriate.
* Terraform.
* Continuous Integration - Buildkite / GitHub Actions.
